There are many great restaurants in Walt Disney World and most of them can be found without having a park ticket. In this episode, we discuss our favorite restaurants in the many Disney resort hotels sharing the reasons why we enjoy dining at these top choices.
We also list the pros and cons of each in order to help you decide which restaurant may be best for your next visit.
Mentioned on the show:
Sanaa
- Located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort- (Kidani Village)
- Pros : ambiance, the animals, naan bread, appetizers, coffee.
- Cons: some of the dinner menu items can be bland.
Boma- Flavors of Africa
- Located at Animal Kingdom Lodge -(Jambo House)
- Pros: Variety of foods, ambiance is great even though the setting is in a large room
- Cons: kids going back and forth to the buffet which made it hard to enjoy a meal as a family.
Kona Cafe
- Located at Disney’s Polynesian Village
- Pros: TONGA TOAST! It is relatively easy to grab a reservation at this restaurant and the sushi is always excellent.
- Cons: Setting doesn’t feel right at first (dining in the middle of a busy lobby) but once seated, it does improve. Limited menu items
Grand Floridian Cafe
- Located at Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
- Pros: Great location- so fun to explore the resort before and after the meal.
- Cons: Kind of a basic menu, nothing that really stands out.
California Grill
- Located at The Contemporary
- Pros: The views are some of the best in all of Walt Disney World.
- Cons: High prices. Not entirely easy to find.
A few we are looking forward to trying someday
hopefully soon:
Steakhouse 71 located at the Contemporary Resort (the restaurant formerly known as The Wave)
Storybook Dining at Artists Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
And finally, Todd English’s Bluezoo is located at The Swan and Dolphin Resort.
