Create a guide. Before you set foot in Walt Disney World, have a plan or guide for your family. Decide which attractions you want to visit, which restaurants you want to try, and which parks you want to explore. This maximizes your time at the parks and provides you with some relief in a high sensory environment.
Participate in Special Events: While you’re in the planning stages, check out the special events that may be happening around your visit. From holiday parties to festivals, these events can be a great way to add some extra magic to your family adventure.
(Some Examples: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, or The Festival of the Arts in Epcot.)
Capture Your Memories: Disney makes this easy by offering a paid service to take and store your photos. Or get creative and diy by adding a few Disney-themed props (Mickey Mouse ears) or Disney-themed attire. Bring along a scrapbook or journal to record your memories. Even kids that are just beginning to write can do this and it’s such a fun keepsake memento to look back on when they are older.

Our daughter’s favorite vacation tradition is to make going out to dinner a special event. The restaurant itself does not have to be fancy, but it can feel that way by dressing up for the occasion.
