How To Make Your Magic Kingdom Trip A Fun & Learning Experience
When going on vacation to Walt Disney World, visiting for educational purposes doesn’t necessarily come to mind. In fact, some might even scoff at the idea. But – there truly are several educational experiences throughout all of Disney. In fact, there are so many that we can even break them down per park and share them on the podcast! Join us as we discover how Disney proves learning can be fun!
We begin the series by first discussing Magic Kingdom park and how it is not only a place of fantasy and rides but also where you can learn a bit while enjoying the atmosphere. Here are a few of our favorites:
Main Street USA
Located on Town Square is the infamous Walt Disney Railroad: Home to a REAL old-fashioned working steam train!

Events : Flag Retreat Ceremony

This event honors a veteran each day, and is a great opportunity to learn about the sacrifices that many make for this country.
Fantasy Land
Where classic literature comes to life! Many may forget that Disney movies originated by books and here in Fantasyland you get to experience actually being in that book.
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh -books by A. A. Milne
- Mad Tea Party -Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
- Peter Pan’s Flight® Attraction -Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie
.
It’s a Small World attraction
This iconic ride features Audio-Animatronic® children from around the world giving the opportunity for kids and adults to experience the variety of cultures throughout the world through sights and sounds of dozens of nations.

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
The tiki room has many awesome attributes. It’s not only a very refreshing way to beat the heat in the middle of the day (be sure to grab a Dole whip before heading inside!) it includes the most epic song that will put a smile on your face for the whole day. But what is so interesting to discover is that The Tiki Room was actually the very first example of robotic technology. 225 audio-animatronic birds were cutting edge at the time of the creation of this beloved Walt Disney classic and they still continue to amaze guests.
Liberty Square
Liberty Square is an incredible land to visit – a replica of Colonial America with buildings and even walkways that represent the times! There’s a Liberty Bell, an old-fashioned riverboat, and the hall of United States presidents.
Carousel of Progress
This classic attraction debuted in the New York’s World Fair and brings you through the decades to show how electricity plays a role in our daily lives.
We sure have evolved from the hand crank washers!
