Unlocking Disney’s People Mover

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover is undoubtedly the centerpiece of Tomorrowland. The 10 minute journey begins from Rocket Tower Plaza and takes you into the best of Tomorrowland from the early architectural models of the Experimental Community Prototype of Tomorrow or Epcot, to the exciting and darkest regions of space through Space Mountain.

The attraction originally debuted in Disneyland as the WEDWay Peoplemover and although it is no longer at that park, the Walt Disney World version continues to remain a family favorite. Not only does the People Mover cater to all ages and offers a welcoming break from the hustle and bustle of Magic Kingdom, if you look deeply enough using your imagination, you can feel the very essence of this incredible future world.

In 2015, pair of cars from Disneyland’s PeopleMover sold at a Los Angeles auction for $471,500.
